  If you are having problems logging on to the NKM Hotspot, please follow the following procedures and view the Extra Comments below

Instructions for logging in from a Windows PC:

 

  1. The PC should be setup as follows:

·               Wireless network Interface

·               Encryption (WEP, WPA, …) = Off

·               Internet Protocol TCP/IP for your wireless interface (Control Panel-> Network Connections)

·               Obtain an IP address automatically

·               Obtain DNS server address automatically

·               WWW browser, set to not use a proxy server

 

  1. Use your normal method to scan and connect to the wireless network   (as per your ticket)   SSID
  2. Start your web browser. Common web browsers are Internet Explorer or Firefox.
  3. Enter the Login and Password found in this letter
  4. Once you have successfully logged on, your PC will have full Internet access, WWW, email, Skype etc.

 

Users are logged off in a number of different ways:

 

  1. Use the logoff button in the pop-up provided when logged in.
  2. If the pop-up has been closed, return to the logout page by typing in   1.1.1.1 in the address line up the top of the browser.
  3. Turn off the PC or leave the hotspot coverage area. After a fixed time out, you will be logged off automatically.
  4. Leave the PC on, but do not access the Internet for a fixed time. After a fixed time of in activity, you will be logged off automatically.

Extra Comments

 

  • If you can not login to the NKM Hotspot and you use Skype, please exit out of Skype and re login to the Hotspot. After a successful login then run Skype and   use as normal.  
  • Please note that some PDA's are not compatible with this service, If you would like to try this service before buying a ticket please contact Tech Support
